The Project

Project Description

ARTIFIGEN is a pioneering Erasmus+ project designed to create bridges between everyday-use AI and education. As digital learning accelerates, ARTIFIGEN empowers educators, learners, and stakeholders to harness the power of AI-powered chatbots in a responsible, ethical, and user-friendly way.

At its core, ARTIFIGEN is building a centralized online platform where users can access and consult some of the most efficient educational chatbots simultaneously—tools like ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, Jasper, and Perplexity.ai. But it doesn’t stop there.

Through the Coaching Toolbox functionality, the project offers resources, guidance, and training materials to help educators to confidently integrate chatbots into their teaching practices, as well as individual users to have a personalised coach for self-development. A key part of ARTIFIGEN’s mission is to foster a vibrant online community via discussion forums and chat rooms, where knowledge-sharing, collaboration, and peer support thrive.

Planned Activities

User requirement analysis to understand user needs and preferences

To ensure that Artifigen truly meets the needs of its users, the project begins with a comprehensive user requirement analysis. By engaging educators, learners, and stakeholders, we gather insights into their expectations, preferences, and challenges related to AI-based educational tools. These findings guide the design and development of the system, ensuring it is tailored to real-world contexts.

Ethical issues analysis regarding the use of chatbots and the related technology

As we integrate AI technologies like chatbots into educational settings, ethical considerations are at the forefront. Artifigen includes a thorough analysis of ethical issues, focusing on data privacy, transparency, fairness, and user trust. This ensures that the technologies developed align with European values and legal frameworks, while promoting responsible innovation.

Technical development of chatbot integration and coaching toolkit

At the heart of Artifigen is the development of an intelligent chatbot and an AI-powered coaching toolkit. These tools aim to support learners and educators with personalized, interactive, and adaptive learning experiences. The technical work focuses on seamless integration, high usability, and compatibility with existing educational systems and platforms.

Pilot testing and feedback to ensure a user-centric system

Real-world testing is essential to making sure our tools work effectively. Artifigen conducts pilot testing in diverse learning environments to evaluate the functionality, usability, and impact of the chatbot and coaching toolkit. Feedback from users plays a crucial role in refining the system to ensure it is both intuitive and impactful.

Project dissemination, exploitation and sustainability

To maximize the project’s long-term impact, Artifigen includes strong strategies for dissemination, exploitation, and sustainability. Through events, publications, and digital outreach, we promote awareness and uptake of the project’s outcomes. At the same time, we work on ensuring the tools developed remain accessible and adaptable beyond the project’s lifetime.
